Exeter Stag Do
Not everyone wants an alcohol fuelled stripper-fest for a groom’s last night of freedom and if you don’t an Exeter stag do could fit the bill.
It’s a bit like listening to an album featuring Exeter’s most famous son, Coldplay’s Chris Martin. Pleasant, enjoyable for the right sort of person, but not exactly rock ‘n’ roll.
It’s a city – apparently the biggest party place in Devon if such an accolade can be taken seriously – so there’s still enough bars and clubs (and even the odd strip joint) for a decent enough night out. Best place to start is probably the newly redeveloped quayside.
But an Exeter stag do is probably for those looking at an outdoors weekend. During the day water sport activities are easy to reach on Devon’s south coast and, at a push, the county’s north coast. Whether it be wakeboarding, kayaking or water skiing, there’s plenty on offer.
And Devon has two national parks – Exmoor and Dartmoor – where stag parties can have a bash at hiking, rock climbing and, if you’re mental enough, an army assault course.
