York Stag Do
According to Yorkshire folk, York isn’t really Yorkshire, it’s too posh. Whether that makes York a good stag location is a matter for debate but to us it seems like it has something for everyone.
For example, for a night out there’s the brash and boozy Micklegate area, more classy and refined Coney Street or the Goodramgate neighbourhood for lovers of the friendly old-fashioned pub. A relatively small city centre means all three are easy to fit into the same stag party. Also, the swanky shops attract a decent amount of hen parties to York.
The city is also home to one of the best horse racing tracks in the country and holds regular meetings throughout the summer flat season. Aside from your fun but predictable stag do activities available anywhere (think paintballing and go-karting) there is also the River Ouse for a relaxed afternoon boating.
On the off-chance the stag is a history buff, York has plenty on that front, too, having been a favourite haunt of both the Romans and the Vikings. A York stag do certainly has a lot to offer!
