A greyhound racing stag do can be done during the day or night. It’s a low budget version of horse racing but this has a number of advantages.
First off at some tracks there’s the chance, for a relatively cheap price, to sponsor a race and name it after the groom. This means he will present the prize to the winning owner and his greyhound, while the rest of your group crowd on to the podium with him. It makes a great photo of the whole gang together as the groom nervously hands over a trophy hoping the dog won’t take a dump on his foot.
In truth, the dog track lacks the glamour of horse racing but food and drink take less queuing for and the races come thick and fast. It’s also less crowded so easier to make a ‘base’ and then come and go as you please.
Most tracks also offer packages that include meals.
