It looks like Ricky Wilson is not the only one able to predict a riot as Worceshire based wish.co.uk has come up trumps with the ultimate in unusual stag do ideas – the chance to riot! Or more specifically to play the part of crowd control. You and the stag party get to don body armour, wield batons and fight off disgruntled protesters in this super charged reenactment of street violence! Petrol bombs, smoke and debris – the mainstays of any serious riot – bring a dose of ‘authenticity’ to proceedings as you and your pals get to play the part of riot squad!
Whilst we think this deserves credit as one of the most innovative stag do activities since Zombie Boot Camp, killjoy locals Droitwich raised more than eye brow on its launch last year by urging local MP Peter Luff to ban it. We contacted Mr. Luff to see if he’d done the sensible thing and shrugged it off as a bunch of ‘N.I.M.B.Y’s’ but he was unavailable for comment at the time of going to press. As a married man, our hope is that he saw it as a worthwhile skill for any stag. As Wish founder Richard Kershaw puts it: “We teach the basics of riot management and offer an insight into the situations that police deal with.” Quite right too.
