Every late spring Bank Holiday there is the cheese rolling championships a 40 minute drive away, near the Gloucestershire town of Brockworth. (It’s where a bunch of mental people chase a big cheese down a very steep hill). And there’s the West County Games taking place nearby every weekend. Events include welly wanging, tyre rolling and all sorts of inflatable farm-based fun.
